Astapiana Culture
The ideal setting for cultural events and exhibitionsVilla Giusso Astapiana is the perfect setting for hosting exhibitions and cultural events, literary salons and dinner shows, concerts and chamber theatrical performances. The park with its centuries-old holm oaks has often transformed into an open-air theater for classical music concerts, creating an evocative and immersive atmosphere.
Over the years, the estate has hosted numerous significant events, including the 2005 exhibition dedicated to riggiola, the famous 18th-century majolica tiles of the Kingdom of Naples, and the fascinating summer solstice evenings. It has also hosted the awards ceremony for the Silver Selene photography and literary competition in 2008, gatherings of astrophysicists for stargazing, and meetings of the Maccheronici Club, dedicated to promoting regional gastronomy.
More recently, the estate hosted the closing session of the Cardinal Van Thuan Summer University in 2022 and 2024. Furthermore, due to its fascinating blend of history and nature, on May 10, 2008, Villa Giusso Astapiana was chosen as the setting for a Sky TV interview with Nobel Prize winner in Chemistry Prof. Paul J. Crutzen, discoverer of the ozone hole, who addressed crucial issues about our planet’s future on this occasion.
